Online marketplace provider eBay (NASDAQ:EBAY) recently launched eBay.cn in China. Unlike the company’s previous Chinese auction site Taobao, eBay.cn will mainly provide a platform for small to medium size business engaged in foreign trades.

Online scams have increasingly become a problem threatening the growth and credibility of sites like e-commerce sites such asTaobao. In order to boost user confidence in online trading and eliminate scams, Ebay and Taobao will collaborate to ban the trading of seller accounts. An eBay spokesperson says the collaboration has seen success in the ban and account trading offers on the two sites will be deleted in a timely fashion. Source: techweb
