SEGA Reportedly Closes Online Games Office in China
On May 30, 17173.com game portal said that SEGA closed its online games unit in Shanghai, due to sub-par performance of the company’s online games in China. Founded in October 2005, SEGA’s online games business operated several casual games including Rainbow Knight and Tong Tong Online. However, these games performed below expectations. According to one of SEGA’s former employees, Rainbow Knight had no more than 3-digit peak concurrent users. Source: 17173.com
