MII Enhances Website Database to Tighten Control on Internet Contents

The Ministry of Information Industry (MII) is planning on an update of its website database to provide more information for the police to locate and prosecute illegal sites. MII’s current database has approximately 1.6 million Chinese websites on file and contains information on the registrant, server location and IP address.
